All About ME
With a B.S. in Human Physiology and experience teaching in an exercise physiology lab, I approach design through the lens of biomechanics. My time as an athletic trainer with the University of Oregon football team deepened my understanding of how the brain and body function under pressure at an elite level, while teaching dance and barre reinforced the nuances of individual bodies.
I believe that sport isn’t reserved for elite athletes; it belongs to anyone seeking confidence, mind–body connection, and freedom in motion. This belief grew from beginning CrossFit and ice skating as an adult as well as instructing entry level dance to adults, where I got to watch people form new relationships with their bodies. In my first year as a master’s student in sports product design, my work included performance wear for aerial artists, dancers, and speed skaters with an emphasis on supporting athlete’s lifelong participation in their sport. In my second year, I continue to expand on that work with designs that respect different bodies, different timelines, and the joy of practice.
